Stu's Video Portfolio
(and some other work)
These are shortform, news-style packages where patients opened up about their healthcare. I handled the entire pre- and post-production pipeline of these videos -- earning the subjects' trust, scheduling shoots, conducting interviews, writing scripts, and collaborating with video editors on cuts and recuts.
I joined The University of Kansas Health System to help evolve their daily livestreams from a news-update style to a branded storytelling style. These are some of my favorite episodes, plus a few paid-advertising TV specials titled Choices, Hope and Science that aired on regional Gray Media TV stations.
I was trusted to create content with the Health System's most valuable brand partnership. Our team showcased staff's team spirit, collaborated with Chiefs ambassadors, and rehashed some of the best content from when Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones weren't nationally known.
I'm a confident communicator in front of the camera, although I mainly coach others on how to perform. Here are some of my on-camera appearances, including a Mizzou throwback!
Video content is the star, but it needs support from sharp, eye-catching thumbnails and captions. Here are a few of the tweets I wrote that accompanied teaser videos for my podcasts. This page also includes examples of my work at FOX4 Kansas City including a newscast and web articles.
